- Risonare, which means “to resonate” in Italian, was named to reflect the natural beauty of the area. We hope our aim of living in harmony with both people and nature resonates with you as well.

- Risonare is one of the most engagingly designed hotels in Japan. It’s 70,000m2 property lies at the southern foot of the Yatsugatake Mountains. Risonare’s design emulates an Italian mountain village. From the time you pass through the gate you gradually wind your way down a narrow cobbled street lined with select shops and galleries. Elegant residences look out over the corridor from the second floor. People congregate in the public square beneath, the graceful towers at the middle of the street and chat, while with each step the spectacular view of Mt. Komagatake, Mt. Fuji, and the Yatsugatake Range subtly unfolds. It’s truly a remarkable scene.

- Klein Dytham architecture (KDa) was established in Tokyo by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham in 1991.
It is a multi-disciplinary design practice active in architecture, interiors, public spaces, and installations. In 2000 KDa was awarded the world’s leading emerging architecture prize by Architectural Review. It is the most prestigious award for talented new generation architects in the world. The award attracted entries from over 90 countries.
Our garden chapel, ZONA was designed by KDa in May, 2004. ZONA received a silver award in 2005 from the D&AD Awards (Environment Design & Architecture section). These are the most prestigious international awards for the creative design and advertising industries.
ZONA means castle in Italian. The chapel is surrounded by the Southern Japan Alps and the Yatsugatake Mountains, and has a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji as well.
Within this natural setting, the chapel mimics two leaves that have fallen to the ground, one on top of the other.
Thousands of holes in the leaves form the delicate image of a bridal veil.
The light filtering through these holes creates an almost mystical scene during a wedding ceremony day or night.

- Yamanashi is situated next to the western part of Tokyo and the southeast of central Japan. It is a prefecture where nature abounds with varying spectacular views of lakes and valleys such as Mt. Fuji.
Hokuto City, situated in the northwest part of the Yamanashi prefecture in the central Japan, is surrounded by the beautiful scenic mountains which represent Japan’s most spectacular mountain scenery. Kobuchisawa in Hokuto City enjoys the blessings of rich natural resources such as clean water, a refreshing highland climate, more average annual hours of sunshine than any other domestic municipalities can sum up, many historical sites, cultural heritage, and natural thermal hot springs.
Kobuchisawa is easy to access from Shinjuku. It takes only 2hours by JR Express train, AZUSA.
